主语从句在大作文写作中非常好用。

 

先说，什么是主语从句？

 

主语从句，即在复合句中充当主语成分的句子，属于名词性从句。

例如：

That he finished writing the composition in such a short time surprised us all.

他在很短的时间内写完作文让我们都很惊讶。

此复合句主要描述的是某事让我们惊讶，某事就是该复合句的主语，恰好这个某事是一个句子，因此"That he finished writing the composition in such a short time"便是该复合句的主语从句。

 

很好理解啊，从句做了主语，就是传说中的主语从句。

 

我们看这个句子最前面有一个that，为什么要有一个that呢？没有行不行？

 

不行！

that引导的主语从句直接位于句首时，that不能省略！

 

省略了that之后句子变成啥了？

He finished writing the composition in such a short time surprised us all.

这句子对吗？

 

对个烂头。

一个句子咋出现俩谓语动词了呢！

 

怎么改?

把不是谓语动词的改成非 谓语动词，其中一种办法就是改成从句，对，就是加个that的事儿。that就是这个句子的灵魂啊！

 

说到that，我们再聊聊其他引导词。

主语从句通常由从属连词that 和 whether；

连接代词：who; whoever; whom; whose; what; whatever; which; whichever;  

或连接副词：when; where; how; why; whenever; wherever; however; 以及关系代词型 what 引导。

1. that引导 

 

例句：That prices will go up is certain.

涨价是板上钉钉的事了。

 

2. whether引导 翻译成是否

 

例句：Whether they would support us was a problem.

他们是否会支持我们还是一个问题。

 

3. 连接代词引导 翻译成相应的意思

 

例句：Who was responsible for the accident is not yet clear.

谁要对这起事故负责还不明确。

 

4. 连接副词引导 翻译成相应的意思

 

例句：How this happened is not clear to anyone.

这件事怎样发生的谁也不清楚。

 

5. 关系代词型what引导

 

例句：What shocked me was that she never wash her own clothes.

让我震惊的是她从来不洗自己的衣服。

有时为避免句子头重脚轻，常用 it 作形式主语，代替主语从句放在句首，而把主语从句置于句末。常用句型如下：

(1)It + be + 形容词 + that 从句

It is clear that he was telling the truth.

很明显，他那时说得是实话。

 

(2) It + be + 名词 + that 从句

It is a fact that English is being accepted as an international language.

英语作为一门国际语言正日益为人们所接受，这是不争的事实。

 

(3) It+及物动词 +宾语 +that 从句

It worried her a bit that her hair was turning gray.

她头发变白了这让她有点儿担心。

 

(4) It + be + 动词的过去分词 + that 从句

It is said that he has been there many times.

据说他来过很多次。

?注意！

如果过去分词是                                suggested/ordered/required/advised/requested/insisted等表示建议、要求、命令等词时，从句应该用虚拟语气，其谓语动词的结构为→（should）+动词原形。

例如：It's suggested that students (should) make their bed by themselves.

人们建议孩子应该自己铺床。

It作形式主语的主语从句是很常用的，这里给大家分享一些必背句型。

显而易见，众所周知：

It is common knowledge that...

It is my belief that...

It keeps my perspective that...

It is self-evident that...

It has been found that...

It seems beyond dispute that...

It is universally acknowledged that...

It has been widely accepted that...

It is generally agreed that...

很重要：

It is important that...

It is vital that...

It is essential that...

...

本句型可以写在作文中任何一句话的前面用来拉长句子，本句型推荐写在作文中第一段第一句话的前面，用来引出描述图画或图表。

更好的主语从句的变体是把it 变成 what 在 that 前面加 is：

What is common knowledge is that...

What has been found is that...

What seems generally agreed is that …

What is universally acknowledged is that...
